Mindfulness based counseling services can help you develop a greater sense of awareness, presence, and inner peace. Therapy with an emphasis on mindfulness will provide guidance and support to help you learn mindfulness techniques, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve your overall well-being. Mindfulness skills enhance therapy processes to improve awareness and insight, and are great for coping strategies as well!
I am trained to provide Somatic Experiencing® therapy, a "body first" approach to healing and resolving resolving trauma and stress . This therapy focuses on "listening" to the body and nervous system.

I am also a Registered Yoga Teach (RYT 200), and am trained to provide trauma-specific and informed yoga interventions and support
Whether you are healing from ongoing long-term trauma such as abuse, or would like support working through and releasing trauma, shock, or negative impacts from specific events, it would be my honor to hold a space of non-judgment and care while helping you process and heal.
In addition to somatic interventions, counseling at BG+W provides trauma-specific counseling such as parts work, feminist theory and culturally sensitive counseling as relevant, and emotion-focused therapy, and provides support with coping resources to improve regulation and using and building on strengths.
Whether it is your first experience with having mental health symptoms that are impacting your life and well being, or you have struggled with a mental health disorder or diagnosis that you have experienced managing in the past, counseling can help.
I am experienced in mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorders), anxiety related disorders and panic, experiences with psychosis, and PTSD, to name some common broad areas that many people can struggle with. Counseling can assist with providing coping strategies while also working towards decreasing or alleviating distressing symptoms and the intensity and frequency of your symptoms.
Our mental health is just like our physical health- we all have it and our health and conditions vary but there are concrete things we can do to improve or to manage ongoing conditions.
More and more people, myself included, are seeing their circle of most treasured and connected relationships include their "pet". This is however, still newer culturally and fairly culturally specific (and to some extent resource, specific). Although in my book this is a positive, as we grow as humans both in our knowledge and our capacity for compassion and connection, it is still not an across the board "normal", culturally.
This can lead to isolation and lack of ability to process difficult experiences related to our non-human family members. "Pet" owners experience difficult medical decisions for their loved ones, including end of life decisions. Because there are also people who just see an animal as an animal, this experience and loss has been termed "disenfranchised grief" "https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/01/well/family/pet-loss-grief.html
The experiences can be traumatic, individuals may experience anticipatory grief and stress, and heartbreaking. Meanwhile, this might be minimized by others and lead to additional difficult feelings and experiences. We can provide support and understanding from a deep place of resonance and empathy.
Hi! I'm the owner of Boundless Growth + Wellness. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has provided mental health and counseling services for over a decade and has worked in the helping field for many years before that. I have worked in both non-profit,community mental health, and private practices.
Outside of being a counselor, anyone who knows me would agree I am obsessed with my dog Brodie. His full-time job is being my shadow. I love nature and being in nature whether walking the forest preserves or gardening at home. If I am not with family or friends, I am a homebody and am listening to music , reading, or playing a good video game.

As a therapist, I believe an important foundation of my work is to know the uniqueness and strengths that exist within every person I work with. Treatment should be individualized and collaborative. Trusting and connected relationships with my clients are integral to me. What you can expect from me is a caring, non-judgmental, casual but professional realness, and likely some quirky humor. Despite the serious nature of what we may be working through, or perhaps because of it, I also believe there needs to be space for lightness, fun, creativity, and above all curiosity. I am experienced with a range of evidenced-based practices and am continuously seeking training to bring the most helpful interventions and strategies to our work. I put an emphasis on mind-body connection, mindfulness training, and accessing the innate strengths you bring into our work together. I have training in Somatic Experiencing® and am completing work towards my Somatic Experiencing Practitioner certification.
Above all else, counseling has to both be and feel safe and it is important I provide this to all individuals I work with. I strive to provide culturally aware and competent support. I am comfortable working with alternative or nonconforming lifestyles, from a place of non-judgement. I am aa hetero-cis identifying female (she/her) and identify as a LGBTQ+ ally and have experience and training in working with folx identifying in communities of varying orientations.
I am an in-network provider with: BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and United PPOs
